Paratransit Coordination
Task Force Recommendations
In early 2004, the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) established a short-term task force to
develop recommendations about how to improve the coordination of paratransit services in Santa Cruz County.
Following its formation, the RTC also approved a work program, goals and membership for the 24-member
Paratransit Coordination Task Force. The Task Force met between May 2004 and April 2005.
Chaired by former RTC Commissioner Mardi Wormhoudt, the Task
Force represented a broad cross section of the local paratransit community. Members
included: representatives from the RTC and SCMTD boards, service providers,
funding agencies, advocacy groups, social service providers, union
representatives, County departments, residential care facilities and
paratransit system users.
