Highway 1 Ramp Closure at Park Avenue Postponed
Due to inclement weather, the planned closure of the southbound Highway 1 Park Avenue off-ramp has been postponed. The new closure dates will be announced soon.
This closure is necessary for crews to pour concrete for a new soundwall near the ramp. Due to the steep slope in the area, a large concrete pump will be used, making it essential to close the off-ramp to ensure safety during the work. Portable message boards will be in place to alert travelers and direct them to the next available exit.
The contractor for this ongoing $78 million project is Granite Construction of Watsonville, CA, It is expected to be completed by Fall of 2026.
