The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission provides funding for wide variety of transportation projects including highway, transit, paratransit, local road, bicycle, pedestrian, and trail projects. Funding for these projects is provided by a number of sources, including local, state and federal funds.
Project information provided on the SCCRTC website includes studies, reports, databases and applications related to current and future infrastructure projects and transportation programs. Users may find information such as a project’s current status, plans for future construction and how these projects will impact mobility.

SCCRTC PROJECTS
The RTC sponsors a host of planning projects that are all
aimed towards improving the transportation network in Santa Cruz County.
STREETS & HIGHWAYS
Highway projects, road maintenance, and other related resources covering Highway 1, Highway 17, Highway 9 and other local routes.
BICYCLE
RTC bicycle project plans, including the County-wide Bicycle Route Signage Program and funding for bicycle facility improvements.
PEDESTRIAN
Improvement of local sidewalk network, accessible pedestrian facilities services, and safe paths of travel to connect to transit.
RAIL
Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line is a continuous transportation corridor offering tremendous potential for residents and visitors.
BUS
The RTC supports and funds expansion and improvements to local bus service, accessible transportation services, and planning studies.
TRAILS
The RTC works with local groups to develop, improve, and expand the County’s bike lanes, trails, pathways, and bike routes.
MULTI-MODAL
Transportation infrastructure that provides the public with a wide range of travel mode choices in Santa Cruz County.
LEGISLATIVE ACTION
Each year the RTC adopts legislative platforms to guide its analysis of state and federal legislative and administrative actions.
