State Route 17 Multimodal Corridor Plan to Be the Subject of Two Upcoming Workshops
Members of the public are cordially invited to learn more about the State Route (SR) 17 Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan by participating in two upcoming virtual public workshops.
Caltrans Districts 4 and 5 are jointly developing the SR 17 Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan that will address topics such as safety, reliability, and multimodal accessibility throughout the corridor. The plan will also have a focus on critical sustainability issues along the corridor, such as climate change resiliency, emergency management, and wildlife habitat connectivity. The plan will set a corridor vision and identify potential transportation improvements and resiliency strategies along the corridor.
The two virtual public meetings are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 19 and Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Interpretation during the workshops will also be available in Spanish and Chinese.

Building on previous efforts, the SR 17 Plan seeks to:
- Work with communities to define a long-range vision for the corridor
- Advance goals outlined in the California Transportation Plan 2050 and Climate Action Plan for Transportation Infrastructure
- Support projects that integrate climate resiliency with mobility and safety improvements
We look forward to hearing your questions and listening to your experiences traveling on the SR 17 corridor.
