Zero Emission Passenger Rail & Trail Project Draft Project Concept Report Now Available for Review!

Check out the recently released Zero Emission Passenger Rail and Trail (ZEPRT) Draft Project Concept Report at sccrtc.org/zeprt under “Resources” to learn more about conceptual alignment, ridership projections, station locations and design, cost estimates and more. The Draft Project Concept Report provides details on information provided by the project team at the June 12 Commission meeting and available on the virtual open house at ZEPRT.com.

Once you’ve had a chance to dive deeper into the full report, stop by the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission’s (RTC) Office Hours either in-person or virtually to talk to ZEPRT project team members one-on-one and ask questions. Community members are welcome to join anytime, but encouraged to register by signing up here.

Community input received throughout project planning has played a crucial role in the development of this project, which is why RTC has extended the community feedback deadline to August 22, 2025 to allow the public more time for review.

You can provide feedback through the following ways:

  • Virtual Open House: Visit ZEPRT.com to conveniently participate anytime, 24/7, when it works for you to review project updates and share your input.
  • Project Email: Email your questions or comments to zeprt@sccrtc.org.
  • Public Hearing: Join in-person or online onAugust 7 to participate in the public hearing where the RTC Commission will accept public comments on the project.
