The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) invites interested parties to submit a for professional engineering services for the Project Approval/Environmental Document phase of the Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail (MBSST) Coastal Rail Trail Southern Segments
Project.

A pre-proposal meeting was held via Zoom on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The pre-proposal meeting attendee list is available at this link.

On January 5, 2026, the RTC provided responses to initial questions submitted by potential proposers. On January 16, 2026, RTC provided an updated document with responses to additional question submitted by potential prospers. Per the RFP, the deadline for submitting additional questions, requests for clarifications or exceptions to RFP requirements was 12:00 PM on Monday, January 12, 2026.

On January 22, 2026, the RTC issued Addendum No. 1 for this project, updating the Proposed Procurement Schedule for the RFP. The date for the (Optional) Interview Short Listed Consultants has been changed to Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
