Southbound Highway 1 Park Avenue Off-ramp Closure for Soundwall Construction December 9

The southbound Highway 1 off-ramp at Park Avenue will be closed on Tuesday, December 9, between 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

This daytime off-ramp closure will allow crews to continue work on the new soundwall adjacent to the ramp. With clear weather in the forecast, the contractor is taking advantage of favorable conditions to safely advance construction activities.

A portable changeable message sign has already been installed to notify motorists of the upcoming closure.

Detour Information

1. Keep going to the next exit, which is the southbound State Park Avenue off-ramp
2. Cross over the Highway 1 bridge.
3. Get on the northbound State Park Avenue on-ramp.
4. Drive north on Highway 1.
5. Exit at the northbound Park Avenue off-ramp.

Project Background

The contractor for this $78 million project is Granite Construction of Watsonville, CA and the project is expected to be completed by Fall of 2026.
