Public Meeting for Coastal Rail Trail Segments 10 & 11 DEIR

The County is scheduled to receive comments on the Coastal Rail Trail Segments 10 & 11 Draft EIR at a public meeting on Thursday, November 16, 2023, 5:00pm – 7:30pm. The meeting will be held in-person at the County Board of Supervisors Chambers, 701 Ocean Street, Room 525, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Remote participation is also available via Zoom.

Please note that to reduce the risk of ‘Zoom Bombing’, attendees will be required to register for the meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link and information about joining the meeting. Registration takes approximately 1 minute, and you may register at any time up until the end of the meeting. Register here:

Participation in the meeting is NOT required to provide a comment on the draft EIR. You may comment on the draft EIR in writing at any time during the 60 day review period (October 16 – December 15) by submitting your comment to Rob Tidmore at 979 17th Ave, Santa Cruz, CA 95062 or via email to

Participants will each be given 2-minutes to make a verbal comment on the draft EIR. Members of the public requiring more time, or that have substantive and/or complex comments are encouraged to submit their comments in writing to the above mail or email address.

Tentative Agenda:

The project team will provide a project overview and describe the environmental review process. This will be followed by a question-and-answer session about the project. Then the project team will provide a summary of the public Draft EIR, including the project impacts and alternatives. The meeting will conclude with the project team accepting and recording verbal comments on the Draft EIR.
