RFP 2153: Electric Passenger Rail Transit & Trail Project

The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) invites qualified and experienced professional engineering consultants to submit a proposal for preliminary engineering and environmental documentation components of a proposed SCBRL Electric Passenger Rail Transit & Trail Project (Project) between Pájaro Junction and Santa Cruz along the Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line (SCBRL). 

A pre-proposal meeting was held via Zoom on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM. The pre-proposal meeting attendee list is available at this link.

On August 26, 2022, the RTC provides the following revised document providing responses to questions submitted by potential proposers. Per the RFP, the deadline for submitting additional questions, requests for clarifications or exceptions to RFP requirements is 12:00 PM on Friday, August 26, 2022 unless amended by RFP Addenda.

On September 20, 2022, the RTC provided Addendum No. 1 updating the proposal due date to Monday, September 26, 2022 at 12:00 PM; providing a revised RFP Attachment C: Sample RTC Contract; and providing a new RFP Attachment E: St. Paul & Pacific Railroad, LLC (a Subsidiary of Progressive Rail, Inc.) Guidelines for Document Submission, Railroad Right of Entry (ROE). A signed acknowledgement of Addendum No. 1 must be submitted with each Proposal.
