Hwy 1 Overnight and Daytime Lane and Ramp Closures Taking Place This Week (Jan 15-18)

Highway 1 Full Overnight Closures

For Monday Jan. 15, travelers will encounter a full closure of northbound Hwy 1 between 41st Ave. and Soquel Dr. This full closure will be in effect between 10 pm and 4:30 am. One northbound lane will be closed 1 hour prior to and one-half hour after the full closure. One lane of southbound Hwy 1 will also be closed from 9 pm to 6 am.

For Tuesday Jan. 16, travelers will encounter a full closure of southbound Hwy. 1 between Soquel Dr. and 41st Ave. This full closure will be in effect between 10 pm and 5:30 am. One southbound lane will be closed 1 hour prior to and one-half hour after the full closure. One lane of northbound Hwy 1 will also be closed from 9 pm to 5 am.

Soquel Avenue Full Overnight Closures

For Wednesday Jan. 17, Thursday Jan. 18, and possibly Sunday Jan. 21, travelers will encounter a full closure of Soquel Ave. in both directions between 17th Ave. and Chanticleer Ave. This full closure will be in effect between 10 pm and 5 am.

Daytime Ramp Closures

For Tuesday Jan. 16 thru Friday Jan. 19, travelers will encounter a daytime closure on one of two onramps to southbound Hwy. 1. The loop onramp to southbound Hwy. 1 from 41st Ave. may be closed from 9 am to 3 pm.

Additionally, the onramp to southbound Hwy. 1 at Soquel Ave. may be closed from 9 am to 3 pm.

Note: These daytime closures of onramps to southbound Hwy.1 at 41st Ave. and Soquel Ave. will alternate. At no time will these two ramps be closed at the same time. Up to date information on the timing of these closures will be available on Caltrans Quickmap at: https://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/

Highway 1 Overnight Lane Closure

For Wednesday, Jan. 17 from 9 pm to 6 am., travelers on southbound Hwy. 1 will encounter a closure of the #2 (right) lane from 41^st Ave. to just south of the Bay Ave./Porter Street exit.

Highway 1 Overnight Ramp Closures

For Tuesday Jan. 16, Wednesday Jan. 17, and Thursday Jan. 18, from 9 pm to 6 am. travelers on southbound Hwy. 1 will encounter a closure of the Bay Ave./Porter Street offramp. Travelers on Bay Ave./Porter Street will encounter a closure of the onramp to northbound Hwy.1 from Bay Ave./Porter Street.

Detours will be in place for all closures. Message and directional signs will be in place to assist travelers. Travelers can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.
