Milestone 3 Updates for the Zero Emission Passenger Rail and Trail Project!

In October 2024, the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) kicked off Milestone 3 for the Zero Emission Passenger Rail and Trail Project’s (ZEPRT) concept development. The project team is sharing updates related to rail and trail alignment options, project funding opportunities, ridership modeling approach, stations, bridge structures, and noise impacts.

If you didn’t get a chance to engage with us at any of our recent events in October and November, there’s still opportunity to participate and provide input.

Virtual Open House – MAPS AVAILABLE: Visit ZEPRT.com anytime through Dec. 20 to participate and share your input! Alignment maps that were presented at the in-person community workshops held earlier this month are now available to review online.

NEW – Informational Community Session #3: Join us virtually via Zoom or in-person at RTC’s office (see details below) on December 16, 2024 to watch a live online webinar to learn more and ask questions about grade crossings, noise impacts, and quiet zones. Spanish interpretation will be available on Zoom, and the session will be recorded and posted on the project website.
